Under director Stephen Daldry, Stephanie has appeared on film in Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and on stage in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, Billy Elliot. Kurtzuba co-starred with her real-life son in the Hugh Jackman vehicle, Bad Education, marking her second collaboration with Jackman after appearing with him in The Boy From Oz on Broadway.

Her diverse film credits also include Annie and Away We Go. On television, Kurtzuba currently recurs as Clara Truisi on Tulsa King and as Captain McNichols on Blue Bloods. She has recurring roles in the mini-series Waco opposite Michael Shannon and on shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, The Good Wife and The Leftovers. Her many guest appearances include Station 19, Bull, Chicago PD, The Good Cop, and Elementary.

In addition to Billy Elliot and The Boy from Oz, Stephanie appeared on Broadway in Mary Poppins, and off-Broadway in Our Lady of 121st Street directed by Phylicia Rashad, A Mother, A Daughter and A Gun with Olympia Dukakis and the original cast of the cult classic Bat Boy: The Musical.
