SkateFest Omaha, October 9, 2022, Lynch Park

Valley Street performs in between Skating Competitions.

SkateFest Omaha hosts events for the Skateboarding community to compete and celebrate the sport. The stage hosted 6 performing artists and bands for skaters and the audience to enjoy while watching competitions and supporting local vendors. OMS and SkateFest Omaha also hosted a food drive to benefit Together’s Choice Food Pantry.

Porchfest OMA, October 2, 2022, Gifford Park Neighborhood

Las Cruxes closes the night with their set.

A family fun event on community porches and stages with music, poetry, food, activities, and more. The performances on OMS included Omaha Girls Rock’s UN-T.I.L., Opera Omaha, Sweet Tea Music, Crao Na Tire, Grace Titus, Keerthna and Asheigh, and Las Cruxes.

Churchyard Harvest Festival, October 1, 2022, Holy Family Community Center

A music showcase featuring Mr. K’s Clubhouse, Danny Leger and Easter Rising, and Hartford/Focht in the lawn of the Holy Family Community Center.

Omaha Mobile Stage Youth Talent Show, September 18, 2022, Bryant Youth Center

Nyatiem Tip performs her hip-hop dance to the audience, earning her first place in her age category, youth (6-8),

OMS, in partnership with Pull Up and Vibe and Untamed, presented a youth talent show as part of the Untamed Summer Community Engagement Series. Youth, ages 3-18, presented dance, poetry, songs, and more on the stage.

Omaha Mobile Stage Youth Talent Show, September 17, 2022, Gifford Park

Omaha youth performers showcased a wide variety of performing arts disciplines to be judged and awarded on talent, originality and showmanship. American rapper/singer/songwriter, Tylynn, brought the energy on stage before the talent show began.

Omaha Mobile Stage Youth Talent Show, September 9, 2022, Gene Leahy Mall Performance Pavilion

Flamenco Omaha youth performs their routine for the audience.

Youth aged 3-18 performed in the first event of the Youth Talent Show series. The show was themed Dance Night and was a range of tap, musical theater, hip hop, and more. The performances were judged on talent, originality, and showmanship and were awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons in each age category.

33rd Friday Block Party, August 19, 2022, Gifford Park Neighborhood

Live music and dance were showcased on the Omaha Mobile Stage. In addition to the night of lively entertainment, there was the weekly Gifford Park Neighborhood Market that included local vendors, food trucks, and youth games.

Just Dance! Afro & HipHop Fest, August 7, 2022, Culxr House

Just Dance! is an Afro HipHop Fest organized by Rial Kell & Glowech. Four artists and two DJs created a cultural music and dance showcase on the stage.

Pull Up and Vibe Open Mic Festival, August 6, 2022, Healing Roots Garden

Pull Up and Vibe is an Open Mic Series and Festival experience for performers from all walks of life. Artists are given an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of other creatives and community members. Music and spoken word are the popular areas of interest, but all performers are welcome.

Friends and family joined in the gardens of Joslyn Castle to witness the opening of OMS and music from Us and Them Blues Band, Southpaw Bluegrass Band, Big Band- Limited, and a special dance performance from tbd. dance collective.

Juneteenth Joy Fest, June 18, 2022, The Fabric Lab

Juneteenth Joy Fest is a Black Arts and Culture Festival celebrating Juneteenth.

Juneteenth Joy Fest was the first annual Black Arts & Culture Festival curated by Alajia McKizia with support from Fabric Lab, North Omaha Trail, and The Union for Contemporary Art.
